Pets and Dungeon Familiars

Pets and dungeon familiars are bonded animals, summoned companions, transformed creatures, and pet-class entities whose abilities are integrated with crawler or NPC mechanics. The category includes Mongo, Bianca, Kiwi, Orthrus, Rend, Lucia Mar's dogs, and other figures whose relationships affect targeting, inventory, skills, and public reputation. A pet is not always a familiar, and a familiar is not always an ordinary animal. Pets may begin as Earth animals, hatch from rewards, emerge from tattoos, or be assigned by quest logic. Familiars are more likely to have explicit magical bonds, summon rules, shared effects, or specialized interface labels. A bonded companion may gain abilities through its owner and may be stored in a magical pet carrier without injury. Carriers protect Mongo during transit and hazards but create dependency: if the owner dies or loses access, a stored animal may be trapped. Summoned creatures and temporary totems follow different storage rules. Mongo is Donut's Mongoliensis companion and develops from a reward-room hatchling into a central combatant. Bianca combines goat, demon, and dragon-like traits in Prepotente's network. Kiwi becomes Mongo's mate and remains the mother of Big Tina. Orthrus is a divine two-headed puppy tied to Geyrun and Emberus. Cici and Gustavo-3 are Earth dogs enlarged into dungeon weapons. Jamal begins as one of Signet's flying paper tattoos and later becomes a living air-breathing hammerhead shark. T'Ghee animal totems and Robot Donut copies are representations and constructs, not automatically members of the same biological category. Pets provide scouting, mobility, senses, damage, and unique quest access. They also create obvious leverage. Enemies target them, producers use them for emotional footage, and owners may take irrational risks to protect them. The strongest bonds increasingly resemble family rather than ownership.
