Dungeon Crawler Carl Wiki collects limited technical information needed to operate and protect the site. Server and hosting logs may include browser type, device information, pages requested, referring pages, approximate location derived from IP address, and basic request data.
Analytics and Cookies
Google Analytics 4 is used to help the site understand visits, popular pages, traffic sources, device and browser categories, approximate geography, and basic interactions such as page views, scrolling, and outbound-link clicks.
The site uses Google Consent Mode v2 in its advanced configuration. Before Google Analytics is configured, the site sets advertising storage, advertising user data, and ad personalization to denied. For visitors in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland, Analytics storage is also denied by default and changes to granted only after the visitor selects Keep analytics. For other regions, Analytics storage is granted by default unless you select Opt out or your browser sends a recognized Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track opt-out signal.
Unless you opt out, a same-origin first-party tracker also measures page views, content opens, returning content views, internal wiki-link clicks, clicked link labels, source page paths, destination paths, link placement type, search and filter use, primary actions, outbound destination hostnames and paths, sharing, issue reports, form workflow stages, exits, and not-found pages. It does not record search text, form contents, email addresses, phone numbers, complete URLs, query strings, URL fragments, raw IP addresses, or full browser user-agent strings. Random visitor and session identifiers are HMAC-hashed on the server before storage, and first-party events are retained for no more than 400 days.
You may reopen the floating Cookies button on any page to change your selection. Opting out or withdrawing analytics permission is a one-click action, persists across pages, keeps Analytics storage denied, stops new first-party interaction events immediately, and removes first-party Google Analytics cookies that the site can access.
Apache access logs independently record requests needed to operate, secure, and understand the site, including probable-human pages, crawlers, referrers, landing and exit pages, and not-found requests. Google Analytics, consented first-party events, and Apache logs measure different populations and their totals are reported separately.
Analytics data is sent to the site's Google Analytics property using measurement ID G-613SYYYPRB. Google is the Analytics recipient. Google explains how it processes data from sites and apps using Google services at How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services. Advertising storage, advertising user data, Google signals, and ad-personalization signals remain disabled by this implementation.
Advertising Cookies
Advertising is currently disabled by default. If advertising is enabled later, third-party vendors including Google may use cookies to serve personalized or non-personalized ads only after the site has the required publisher configuration, notices, consent controls, and, where required by Google policy, a Google-certified CMP. You can manage Google ad personalization at Google Ads Settings.
Visitors in regions with privacy rights, including the EEA, UK, California, and other jurisdictions, may request access, correction, deletion, or limitation of personal information connected to direct contact with the site. Use the contact page for privacy requests.
