Chapter 12 of The Gate of the Feral Gods continues the Fifth Floor campaign in bubble 543. The chapter combines immediate survival work with new evidence about the bubble's overlapping castle stories. Its ending changes the party's next objective rather than functioning as an isolated encounter. Carl, Donut, and Katia are aboard the ambassador balloon within the Wasteland escort formation. They must destroy the aircraft, break the floating castle's armor, survive the fall, and keep Hump Town from being bombed. The plan depends on synchronized ground missiles, Donut's Hole and Astral Paw, and Katia using invulnerability during a transformation that will be physically traumatic. The ground team launches eight guided rockets at the circling craft. Donut opens a wide Hole beneath the gnomes and uses Astral Paw to knock Leon from the edge. Carl attacks balloons with explosives and a multi-launcher while Katia fires crossbows and prepares her escape form. Clockwork Mongos leap onto targets. Katia transforms into a rock buffalo and uses Crowd Blast's brief invulnerability during the required rapid impacts, allowing the party to survive the plunge. The Wasteland breaks apart, its armor falls away, and the Squeeze out the Juice Box quest completes. Every participant accepts a different danger. Ground crawlers fire knowing the aircraft can retaliate, Donut keeps Mongo contained despite audience pressure, and Katia submits to intense pain because her invulnerability can protect the party. Carl chooses to damage rather than immediately erase every castle component, leaving a final structure that can be reached again for the throne room. Astral Paw now has enough force to remove a clinging enemy. Hole can turn a protected basket into an open drop. Crowd Blast grants only a fraction of invulnerability and does not prevent pain. The rock-buffalo transformation exploits a dungeon breeding rule to survive repeated collision. Completing the platinum quest grants rewards and a changeling charisma advantage. The party lands alive. The Wasteland is shattered and stripped of its main armor, but the throne room remains in a surviving house at the top of the bubble. Hump Town is saved from the mass bombing. Donut gains multiple levels and receives a benefactor box. Zev contacts them but explains that she is now limited to social-media duties under Loita. The destruction ends the gnomes' ability to erase Hump Town and creates the route to the final airborne house. The quest cements Juice Box's alliance. Katia's extreme bodily sacrifice shows both the power and cost of her build. Zev's demotion introduces a media conflict that later culminates in Loita's death and a floor-wide teleport restriction. Carl, Donut, Katia, Mongo, Leon, Crixus, Hicks, Louis, Firas, Langley, the archers, Zev, Loita, and the gnome crews appear. Astral Paw, Hole, Crowd Blast, the rock-buffalo form, the Wasteland armor, and Squeeze out the Juice Box receive decisive use.
