Beatrice, commonly called Bea, is Carl's former girlfriend and Princess Donut's pre-crawl owner. She survives Earth's collapse on the surface rather than entering the dungeon. Outside producers, walk-on trackers, and political actors use her relationship with Carl and Donut to build a coercive story line, exposing infidelity and family conflict while treating Bea as leverage. The production uses recordings, reconstructed memories, and Bea's own testimony to expose the affair and provoke Carl and Donut. The resulting scenes complicate Donut's public persona and Carl's relationship with his father. Bea is both responsible for her choices and exploited by institutions with vastly greater power. Later information indicates Bea remains alive outside the main dungeon, under custody or control connected to the surface story. She has not been confirmed dead and has not reunited freely with Donut. Her unresolved position remains a potential source of leverage as the Ascendency and outside political crisis escalate.
