Ralph is a level 11 Frenzied Gerbil and Neighborhood Boss encountered in the First Floor kobold training complex. The System AI identifies him as the surviving member of an abandoned pet family. Carl kills him by crushing him under a bare foot after Ralph survives being swallowed by a dingo. Ralph is a gerbil enlarged into a lethal boss with extreme speed and an impossibly wide jaw. A dressed kobold handler carries him in a cage and presents him as a pit-fighting champion. The comic scale contrast disappears once he attacks, because his bite and mobility let him tear through much larger creatures. The AI says Ralph's human owners abandoned a family of pet gerbils without food. Ralph survived by consuming the others and developed a hatred of humans. As with many boss descriptions, the story mixes tragedy, cruelty, and taunting humor. Whether every detail is literal, the dungeon uses animal neglect to create a weapon. Donut attacks with Magic Missile while Carl and the escaped animals struggle in the kobold complex. A dingo swallows Ralph, but the gerbil bursts through or destroys the animal's head and returns to the fight. His small size and speed make conventional weapon attacks dangerous. Carl finally brings his bare foot down on Ralph and crushes him. The kill resolves the neighborhood boss encounter and contributes to the reward sequence that brings Mongo into Donut's life. Ralph does not regenerate or reappear as the same individual. Ralph establishes several early themes: pets turned into content, AI descriptions that weaponize guilt, and victory achieved through improvised physical action rather than a clean class rotation. He is a minor boss, but the aftermath permanently changes the party through Mongo.
