Chapter 24 of Dungeon Crawler Carl follows Carl and Princess Donut during the the juicer boss battle portion of the Earth crawl. The chapter advances the immediate survival plot while introducing rules and relationships that continue beyond the First Floor. Carl and Donut are sealed inside a gym with a level 9 Neighborhood Boss, six Bashers, three Virtuosos, exercise machines, and flying weights. Donut's mana is limited, the support creatures can poison her, and Carl cannot rely on a pre-positioned explosive. The system introduces the boss as the Juicer and begins the arena presentation. Carl attacks support creatures while Donut fires full-strength missiles at the boss. Confusing Fog scrolls provide short windows, but the Juicer hurls flaming weight plates and tears equipment from the floor. Carl suffers a severe hip wound, uses healing, fights Bashers at close range, and kills several while one remains attached to his arm. He uses a barbell and a hundred-pound plate to crush the boss. During the final exchange Donut uses her claws, is poisoned and struck, and falls with a broken leg and almost no health. Carl finishes the Juicer, then waits through the winner graphic while trying to determine whether a potion will help or kill her during cooldown. Carl follows the prearranged division of labor instead of chasing the boss first, because leaving support mobs alive would expose Donut to poison. He uses his last fog resources despite their short duration and abandons elegance for repeated crushing strikes. When Donut is critically injured, he does not force a potion into her mouth without knowing the cooldown. Donut finally uses her claws, accepting physical danger after her mana-based plan fails. The boss arena seals and displays combatants once the party enters. Confusing Fog disrupts enemies only briefly. Virtuoso tongues deliver poison at range, while antidotes and health potions share timing constraints that can make immediate treatment dangerous. Donut's natural regeneration and inventory access continue while she is injured. The winner overlay can obstruct menus for several seconds even during a medical emergency. The Juicer and support mobs are dead. Donut's leg resets through regeneration, and she eventually drinks her own potion, restoring health while theatrically pretending to die. Carl is relieved, exhausted, and irritated by the performance. The party can now loot the gym and carry its new experience back to Meadow Lark. The fight proves that Carl and Donut can defeat a strong neighborhood boss without remote explosives, but it also exposes the fragility of their two-person build. Donut gains confidence in physical attacks even as she blames the injury on Carl's advice. The boss map and rewards improve preparation for the stairwell maze, while the near-death experience deepens Carl's protective commitment to her. Carl, Princess Donut, the Juicer, Troglodyte Bashers, Troglodyte Virtuosos, and the System AI appear. Beatrice and Ferdinand are invoked during Donut's mock death speech.
