Chapter 15 of Dungeon Crawler Carl follows Carl and Princess Donut during the goblin workshop negotiations portion of the Earth crawl. The chapter advances the immediate survival plot while introducing rules and relationships that continue beyond the First Floor. Carl and Donut must travel east to find a stairwell while gathering enough experience and equipment to survive unknown boss routes. Slimes block one direction, the map remains fragmentary, and they need faster transportation. Their path returns them to the goblin territory where Carl was first ambushed. They identify the floor's grid pattern, discuss party chat, and move through the goblin neighborhood under the protection of Donut's extraordinary Charisma. Donut charms ordinary goblins, Bomb Bards, engineers, and two level 7 shamankas. The workshop contains steam machinery, murder dozers, explosives, tools, and the entrance to the Goblin Chieftain's room. Donut names the shamankas Rory and Lorelai and negotiates for a human-sized Copper Chopper with sidecar. In exchange, she supplies intelligence that directs the goblin force against the neighboring llamas and persuades the leaders to accept the bargain. Carl initially treats the workshop as hostile territory, but Donut uses conversation rather than violence. He gives up gunpowder and other supplies to obtain transport, accepting that mobility is more valuable than preserving every resource. Donut offers Rory a place with the party, revealing genuine attachment beneath the charm. Rory refuses because she cannot abandon the clan and cannot survive a staircase transition. Carl questions her about resets instead of dismissing the information as scripted dialogue. High Charisma can automatically influence intelligent non-boss mobs whose levels and hostility remain within the caster's reach. Party chat uses different interfaces for quadrupeds and humans. Intelligent floor inhabitants cannot descend with crawlers and expect the current level to reset between seasons. Goblin shamankas use Anguish Magic and occupy a leadership rank below chieftains and warlords. Workshop contraptions and engineering supplies can be traded, looted, and stored if Carl can lift them into inventory. The goblin engineers begin constructing the Copper Chopper while the clan mobilizes for war against the llamas. Carl and Donut have entered the center of an intelligent community without fighting and gained access to valuable equipment. The chieftain remains behind a boss door, and the revelation that the goblins remember a repeating life changes the moral context of attacking him. The Copper Chopper allows rapid travel across the arteries and makes the later stairwell search possible. Rory's explanation provides Carl's first direct evidence that intelligent mobs experience repeated seasons and aspire to escape by being moved deeper. Donut's charm becomes a central diplomatic and tactical ability, while the engineered war empties the workshop and creates the opportunity for Carl to loot explosives and attack the chieftain. Carl, Princess Donut, Rory, Lorelai, goblin engineers, Bomb Bards, shamankas, the Goblin Chieftain, and Mordecai by discussion appear. The Copper Chopper and workshop are introduced.
