The Rev-Up Filling Room is a moonshine bottling area on the Second Floor of Dungeon Crawler World: Earth. It sits immediately outside the chamber of a Krakaren clone, whose equipment supplies the liquid that clurichaun workers pour into jugs. Two winged laminak consultants supervise them. Carl and Princess Donut clear the workers by drawing them out of the room, then return to collect moonshine, containers, and an unused smoothie apparatus. The room becomes their battlefield when the boss forces its way through the adjoining doorway and traps them inside.

The bottling operation

Carl and Donut find the filling room while scouting a Second Floor quadrant near a stairwell. The boss chamber is separate from the stairwell, allowing them to judge whether to fight without making the boss a required passage to the next floor. By this point, they have fought several groups of level-three Unvaccinated Clurichaun Rev-Up Consultants in neighboring rooms. Those encounters establish the danger posed by the workers: the clurichauns carry slingshots, spread a condition called the Taint through contact, and carry jugs of Rev-Up Toilet-Grade Moonshine. While the Taint lasts, Carl cannot restore his health. He and Donut therefore approach the larger workforce with a reason to avoid close combat even though its individual members are low-level enemies.

The filling room is visibly part of an organized production line. A tube runs along its ceiling from the boss chamber into a dirty metal tub. Clurichauns take jugs from piles of empty and full containers and refill them at the tub. The continuing flow later shows that killing the workers does not shut off the source. Unlike the nearby rooms in which Carl and Donut have fought small groups, this one contains dozens of workers at once. Its connection to the boss chamber also makes it a poor place for an uncontrolled fire: Rev-Up moonshine is highly flammable, and Carl has already turned some of the jugs into incendiary weapons.

At the far side of the room, two level-six Laminak Rev-Up Consultant Elites guard a doorway. Their description places them above the clurichauns in the Rev-Up hierarchy. It says that underlings who fall behind their sales quotas may be forced to drink the product; survivors can be assigned to the filling room or to work directly under Krakaren as still engineers. That account ties the bottling labor to Rev-Up's coercive sales structure, although it does not identify the individual workers Carl sees as particular punished consultants. The laminaks themselves are resistant to most health-seeping attacks. Their description also presents their essence as valuable protection against disease, making their bodies potentially useful to crawlers exposed to the Taint.

The room holds another clue to Rev-Up's abandoned product line. In a dusty corner stand two small stationary bicycles connected to a pulley arrangement. A partly detached banner advertises Rev-Up Smoothies. The brochures Carl and Donut previously took from clurichauns also advertised portable smoothies, but marked them discontinued. The equipment is present before Carl knows exactly how it works; it becomes important only after he returns to search the room. Its placement beside the bottling line connects the smoothie recipe to the same moonshine supply that feeds Rev-Up's ordinary jugs.

Plan Pied Piper

Carl wants the moonshine and the laminaks' bodies intact. Burning everyone in place might kill the workers, but it could destroy the stored jugs and leave the guards' remains unusable. His alternative depends on Donut's ability to affect winged fairies. She can use Puddle Jumper to appear between the two laminaks at the far end of the room, away from the entrance where Carl waits. The choice exposes Donut to the entire workforce. Puddle Jumper costs twenty of her twenty-six mana points and cannot be cast again for five hours; she cannot simply teleport back if the attempt fails. Carl stays out of sight partly because his goblin pass increases the hostility and damage he receives from fairy-class enemies.

Donut appears between the supervisors and charms them, changing their map markers from hostile to neutral. The approximately forty clurichauns remain hostile. One laminak orders them back to work and calls Donut a client, but the order does not change their allegiance. Donut relays the problem to Carl through party chat and switches to the contingency they call Plan Pied Piper. The contrast between the guards' reaction and the workers' unchanged status matters: Donut has gained the supervisors' cooperation, not command over every creature in the room.

Donut tells the laminaks that she has found dead Rev-Up workers nearby and offers an account of an attack by other monsters. She asks the supervisors to bring the clurichauns to see the bodies. One initially insists that the workers must stay on task, then orders a break when Donut presses her. The clurichauns leave the filling room together, following Donut and the guards into a chamber that Carl and Donut had deliberately left unburned. Carl moves ahead into a small entrance area beyond that chamber. He removes approaching brindle grubs from the hall and waits out of sight with two prepared Jug O' Boom devices. Donut brings the crowd to the corpses while guiding the two laminaks toward his position.

Donut introduces the supervisors as Caroline and Max. As the pair reach Carl, one notices that he has altered their company's jugs. Carl lights the torches fitted into the devices and throws both into the chamber where the workers are gathered. Donut seizes and kills one laminak as she begins to react. The other flies to the ceiling, fires magic missiles, and injures Carl, driving him briefly toward the burning chamber. Carl and Donut guard the exits while he tries to strike her wings with a slingshot; Donut catches and kills her after his second hit brings her within reach. The survivor calls for Damien during the fight, but no help arrives. Later, when Carl asks Mordecai about the name, he learns that Damien is a location manager whom crawlers are not normally meant to encounter.

The fight gives Carl experience for the large group of workers killed by the fire, and both crawlers reach level eleven. The laminaks drop gold and Rev-Up brochures, but no ready-made medicine. Their corpses are classified as alchemy material, so Carl stores them despite his disappointment at not receiving an immediate cure for the Taint. One guard's distress at losing a hoped-for move to the Third Floor also affects him. He recognizes a personal desire in an enemy he has helped deceive and kill. The encounter's practical success and his unease coexist; neither cancels the other.

Supplies and smoothie equipment

With the workers gone, Carl and Donut return to the filling room and search it. They take eighty empty jugs and sixty full ones, along with tables that include an alchemy workstation. Carl does not fill the empty jugs from the tub. The container is fixed to the floor, and he fears that direct contact with the moonshine could inflict one of the harmful effects listed for drinking it. Liquid continues to enter through the overhead tube. Clearing the labor force has made the room accessible, but it has not stopped the production apparatus in the adjacent chamber.

Carl initially favors leaving the boss alone. He suspects a still behind its door could explode, has little defense against another Taint exposure, and fears finding noncombatants in a boss room after what happened during an earlier fight. The doorway's domestic decorations and notice for a disease-exposure gathering reinforce his expectation that the chamber is dangerous in ways beyond the boss's level. Rather than enter, he examines the bicycles and boxes in the filling room's corner. One bicycle is fixed in place; he can take the other. A pulley links a bicycle wheel to a mount for a glass container fitted with blades. Pedaling would turn it into a blender.

The boxes hold glass containers and lids. One also contains a sheet giving the Rev-Up Immunity Smoothie recipe. It calls for moonshine and a laminak corpse. Carl interprets the equipment as a way to make protection before fighting the boss: the finished drink grants temporary immunity to health-seeping conditions and communicable diseases. That protection is relevant to both the clurichauns' Taint and the boss's additional infection. He gathers the portable equipment while telling Donut that he still prefers to leave. Before they can depart, the boss chamber door bursts open. Tentacles enter the filling room, and bars drop across the far exit. Carl's assumption that they can choose whether to enter the boss chamber proves false when its occupant reaches them first.

The boss enters the room

The attacking creature is identified as a level-ten Krakaren Clone. Its tentacles push through the doorway and then break through the wall above it, extending the fight into the bottling area. Clurichauns also emerge from the chamber. Donut kills several while Carl prepares the smoothie using the equipment recovered moments earlier. He pours moonshine into a glass container, forces one stored laminak corpse inside, secures the blade assembly, and pedals the bicycle until the mixture changes color and becomes a usable drink. The task keeps him in the room as the boss's blind, sweeping tentacles smash the surrounding structure.

Before Carl drinks, falling secretion infects him with the Taint. He and Donut take doses of the completed smoothie, but the new immunity does not remove the condition already affecting him. The drink also inflicts Buzzed, impairing his coordination while changing other attributes. Its benefit soon proves real: a different tentacle sprays infectious mist into the room, and Carl's interface reports that infection with Vigorous Measles has been negated. The room's recipe thus protects them against a further disease while leaving Carl unable to heal through the Taint he acquired a moment too early.

The bottling area's features are damaged as the clone reaches farther inside. A tentacle crushes the metal tub, and the bicycle Carl used is thrown and destroyed. He and Donut retreat behind portable tables while more clurichauns enter through the broken boundary. Carl then has Donut reanimate a fallen worker with Second Chance and sends that minion toward the boss chamber carrying an activated Jug O' Boom and dynamite. The resulting explosion kills the clone but badly injures Carl. Donut drags him out of the burning area; after the Taint expires, healing becomes possible. When they later inspect the remains, the production ductwork hangs in pieces and the filling room has effectively become part of the ruined boss chamber.

The Rev-Up Filling Room is consequently more than a store of loot along the stairwell route. Its intact stock gives Carl and Donut useful containers and moonshine, while its abandoned equipment supplies the means to withstand the clone's infectious attack. The same physical link that feeds the bottling tub also places the workers and their visitors next to the boss. Carl and Donut succeed in clearing the room without burning its contents, only to have the boss cross that boundary and destroy the operation during their escape.
