Radoslav

Radoslav is an awakened bugbear NPC and member of Team Free Love on the Tenth Floor. A level 75 Jack of All Trades, he remembers being recycled through many incompatible roles with Jasha and Alevtina. He joins the race despite wanting an end to the cycle and is later killed by Carl during the forced final conflict. Radoslav is a bugbear who smokes, drinks, and travels in Team Free Love's shabby van. Jasha sings and plays violin, Alevtina handles percussion, and Radoslav is supposedly the pan-flute player even though he admits he has never actually played it. Their vehicle carries lawn chairs and a magical cooler stocked with endless beer. Radoslav remembers previous assignments in which Jasha was his brother, enemy, or cousin. Fragments include slime mines, a submarine, a rope city, and cold storage between seasons. These incompatible histories prove that the production reuses aware performers while rewriting relationships. He says he volunteered only in a qualified sense, reflecting the limited choices available to an awakened NPC. Alevtina hopes to build a family, perhaps with Radoslav, but dies during the Tenth Floor competition. He is frightened and emotionally unmoored afterward. The loss strips the team's comic counterculture presentation down to the vulnerability of people who know that their lives have been repeatedly repurposed. Radoslav and Jasha remain involved in vehicle heats and rescue activity. They share supplies, befriend Chiyome, and assist with the effort to save Dwight. Their relaxed surface manner does not prevent competent action. The team demonstrates that awakened NPCs can form loyalties extending beyond assigned scripts. The final race rules force surviving teams into direct conflict. Carl later states explicitly that he killed both Jasha and Radoslav. The exact emotional burden belongs to the coercive design of the event: former allies are turned into mandatory opponents, and survival requires Carl to complete the violence the production arranged.
