Khepri is a giant bug-headed deity associated with a vast temple, sacred feaster scarabs, and later hostility toward Princess Donut. Carl and Katia encounter him on the Ninth Floor. On the Tenth Floor, Carl falsely names Khepri as Geyrun's killer to manipulate an arena confrontation. Khepri is enormous and insect-headed. His temple in Club Vanquisher is described as seemingly endless and includes a feast table populated by sacred scarab creatures. The Earth AI later repurposes some of those bugs for a Tenth Floor gate-boss plan. Carl, Katia, Vinata, and others enter Khepri's temple during the succession operation. The god reacts with chittering anger and forms red fire. Temporary immortality, Black Nimbus effects, explosions, and Carl's summoned Günter keep Khepri from immediately ending the operation. At the start of the Tenth Floor, Donut receives a hostile message from Khepri after taking the Assassin of Sekhmet class. Khepri says he is forming a death cult in her name. The exact organization and motive are not fully explained, but the message establishes continuing divine attention. Carl later tells Emberus that Khepri killed Geyrun and summons him into the realm as part of a tactical deception. The narration explicitly says Carl has no evidence and believes Khepri is innocent of that murder. The accusation must not appear in the article as canon truth. Khepri points angrily at Carl and Donut during the arena crisis. Taranis orders him to leave, and the system confirms his departure from the realm. He is alive and remains a potential enemy. His final Ascendency status is unresolved.
