Florin

Florin is an Australian crawler who becomes a Crocodilian Shotgun Messenger and an early top-ten contestant. He enters with Ifechi and later becomes the principal protector of Lucia Mar. Florin's shotgun build, crocodilian food buffs, and quiet discipline make him a formidable combatant, but his defining choice is to remain with Lucia after learning that the child contains an enormous and unstable network of minds. Florin's Crocodilian race grants great strength, durability, and the ability to triple useful buffs gained by eating creatures. His Shotgun Messenger class centers on close-range firearms and rapid delivery of destructive force. The combination raises him into the early top ten and gives him enough resilience to survive attacks that would kill most crawlers. Florin begins the crawl with Ifechi. Lucia Mar kills Ifechi during an encounter that leaves Florin grieving and initially trapped between revenge and survival. The production can present the event as a simple transfer of loyalty, but Florin never treats Ifechi as replaceable. His later conduct is shaped by the knowledge that Lucia is both dangerous and a manipulated child. Florin becomes Lucia's companion, stabilizer, and practical guardian. He watches her dogs, confronts violent episodes, and remains near her when other crawlers would prefer to eliminate the threat. After revelations about roughly 120,000 children connected to Lucia, protecting her also becomes a way of protecting people whose lives depend on the system inside her. Florin fights through the Fifth Floor bubbles, Hunting Grounds, Eighth Floor, and Faction Wars while maintaining contact with Carl's network. He is not subordinate to Carl and sometimes withholds his location or plans, but he repeatedly joins rescue and defense operations. His shotgun remains effective against enemies ranging from ordinary mobs to late-floor constructs. Florin enters the Tenth Floor with Lucia, refuses to abandon her for an easier exit, and survives the races and Parade. Near the Eleventh Floor transition, Lucia appears with an additional girl beside her, suggesting that the internal system is changing. Florin remains alive and physically with Lucia at the latest confirmation.
